Obsessed with unicorns and skulls, Tamara Nikolai loves to daydream about worlds within worlds, where romance, adventure, and mythology collide. Preferably with explosions and swashbuckling antics.
Outside of her fascination with the macabre, Tamara loves spending all her spare time around books. She is a firm believer that buying books and reading books are two very different hobbies… but she lives in hope that one day she will finish her TBR pile. A reader can dream…
Tamara currently lives in Perth with a TBR Pile that is taller than her and the world’s neediest dogs. She can be bribed with chocolate, gin, and a cute notebook.

My first fictional crushes were on Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon, Goliath from Gargoyles, and Eric Draven from The Crow.

When I was a younger, I wanted to grow up to be Indiana Jones. I even completed a four-year degree in archaeology before I realized I hated pottery pieces. Spoiler alert… archaeological excavations are filled with teeny tiny pottery pieces.

I grew up around Romance books, and secretly started reading 1980’s bodice rippers at a very young age…

I think Die Hard is a second chance Christmas Romance.
